You’re on the list. Thank you.
You'll get plain play, in real life — a free list that takes the games off the screen — and first word when the app, the decks, and the kit arrive. Nothing else.Twelve calm games for ages four to eight — slow, quiet, and low on stimulation, closer to a breath than a level. Each one is meant to be put down.
One game for each age is free, for as long as you like. The rest is a single purchase — buy it once, and it’s yours. No ads, no subscription, never anything more to buy.
In testing now. Coming to the App Store.
A deck of forty-two cards, each one a small thing to notice: the quietest sound, the air after it rains, the cool side of your pillow. One edition for outside. One for before bed. Four cards in every deck are blank, for noticings of your own.
First decks ship after the app.
A night sky on paper. Two pads — chart, with real constellations to find and trace, and create, for skies of your own.
A numbered first edition, later.
We noticed children's screens are built to be picked up and never put down. So we made one designed to do the opposite — and then we made what should be waiting on the other side, on paper.
Designed in Ardmore, Pennsylvania. The making is documented at @plainplay.co.
The Plain Play app collects no personal information, has no accounts, no advertising, and no third-party analytics. Nothing a child does in the app leaves the device.
